Veneers
In just two or three dental visits, a veneer can reverse years of stains caused by foods, caffeine and tobacco use.
Special thin laminates, called veneers, can often be used to correct discolored, worn down, cracked and chipped teeth. Veneers can also be used to close unsightly gaps between teeth. Veneers are made of porcelain and are bonded directly to the tooth. Empress porcelain is a special type of ceramic that exhibits life like and chameleon properties of a natural tooth. This is the material of choice by cosmetic dentists worldwide when ultimate esthetics and sheer beauty are demanded.
A temporary is worn for 7 to 10 days until the final permanent veneers arrive from the lab. Dr. Naik makes sure the temporary veneers look just as good as the final restoration. Patients are amazed at their new smile immediately!
Dr. Naik ensures that every patient is pleased with the outcome of their new smile. Through detailed planning and proper communication between the lab, himself, and the patient, the results are always perfection! Dr. Naik believes that if Veneers are done correctly they should exhibit natural beauty and not have a synthetic look to them. Please view our smile gallery to see Dr. Naik artwork.
The process involves buffing the tooth, removing an extremely thin layer of the tooth to allow for the thickness of the veneer, an impression of the tooth, and final bonding of the veneer to the tooth with special cement. A special light is used to complete the process.
